Review of this program from past guests:

“A Fantastic Introduction to the Cote d’Or”

We just shared an afternoon with Cristina, and found it to be a terrifically in depth introduction to the terroir of the Cote d’Or, After a private classroom-format intro to the region, with a tasting flight of Chardonnay, Cristina proceeded to drive us down the entire the Route de Grand Crus from Gevrey Chambertin back to Beaune, stopping at important sights to teach us more about the soil, and the particular location of the various Grand and Premiers Crus of the region. A tasting of white and red burgundies followed.  My experience was entirely positive and exceeding my (already high) expectations.

A must-do for those passionate about Burgundy

Cristina provided an excellent tour of the Cote de Nuit. We only had time for the half-day session, but will definitely use her for more in-depth schooling on our next trip here.

Cristina’s knowledge of Burgundy is outstanding — from the vignerons, to the geography, to the intricacies of the climats — and she manages to tailor the information she shares to the specific interests of her clients.

To begin, we spent a short time in a tasting room, where she gave an overview of the history of the area and a couple of samples from one of the AOCs. Following our questions, she drove us through the Grand Cru vineyards of the Cote du Nuit, and called out points of interest along the way. She provided great recommendations on where to sample and purchase the wines from the vineyards we were touring — as well as comparative values as alternatives to those that were inaccessible.

We followed the field trip with a return to the winery to sample the various designations from one of the AOCs (regionale, villages, etc.). If you tend to consume your degustation (as opposed to spitting), fear not — Cristina provides pick-up and drop-off service to and from your hotel.

Burgundy is more than fortunate to have an educator like Cristina available for tourists. If you are at all passionate about the wines from the Cote d’Or, then consider time with her invaluable and a must-do for your trip.

“An Abundance of Information on Burgundy”

Yesterday we finished our half-day with Cristina and she dropped us off to her lunch recommendation. We were both blown away, we just sat in awe for 5 minutes as we soaked in all the information she provided, luckily we had a few take-away papers/maps to help remember what we had learned. We went through an intensive course that packed 2 weeks of information into the 3+ hours.

The tour of the area was incredible too since Cristina has an intimate knowledge of the people and land to answer most any questions asked of her. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about the Burgundy region.
